Standard Tuning $135 + tax
For pianos that have been tuned within the last 2 years. This involves adjusting the tension slightly to the correct pitch.
Pitch Raise Piano Tuning $185 + tax
For pianos that have not been tuned in over 2 years and may require multiple separate tuning passes.
Major Pitch Raising $200 + tax
For pianos that have been neglected for an extensive period of time, multiple tuning passes will be required to bring the piano to pitch.
My Tuning Process
I am a proficient Aural Tuner (tuned using my ear) and as a result, all tunings will be at a concert level performance quality. During our initial discussion, I will ask relevant questions about your piano to determine what services make most sense for you. On my arrival I will perform a more detailed assessment and suggest the right tuning package for your piano.
Disclaimer
The piano is a complex instrument that requires regular maintenance, and the strings lose their tensile strength over time and/or can incur micro tears that may cause them to break during the tuning process as they are brought up to the correct tension.
Please note that I am not responsible for a broken string which may occur during the tuning process, and an additional charge will be made to replace any broken strings. The cost to replace strings varies depending on the specific string and I will provide my best estimate of the cost prior to performing the work.
